Incumbents hold lead in LD 4 House Republican primary

The two incumbents in the Arizona Legislative District 4 Republican primary race were in the lead after preliminary results were reported by the Secretary of State’s office.

Matt Gress, of Phoenix, and Pamela Carter, of Scottsdale, were leading challenger Sandra Christensen, of Scottsdale, after the Maricopa County Recorder’s updated results the morning of July 22.

Votes will continue to be counted in the coming days and no results are final until canvassed, but Gress was leading the race with 18,723 votes (45.49% of the ballots counted so far) after the Maricopa County Recorder’s office released initial results. He was followed by Carter with 13,805 votes (33.54%) and Christensen with 8,631votes (20.97%).
