Increased water charges may drip down to Scottsdale residents

Initial notice is being given to Scottsdale residents that monthly water and wastewater rates may increase in the coming months.

On March 2, the Scottsdale City Council adopted a notice of intent to hold an upcoming public hearing at 5 p.m. May 18, for members of the public to comment on new rates considered.

Because of the pandemic, Scottsdale City Council meetings may be held virtually with limited public access, according to a proposed public notice on pending water and wastewater rates and charges for city water and wastewater service for fiscal year 2021-22, which begins July 1.
