A planned retail building could increase in size from 4,000 to 6,731 square feet south of Ray Road on the east side of Ellsworth Road in the Cadence community in Mesa.
The Mesa Planning and Zoning Board on Nov. 17 voted unanimously in a consent agenda to recommend the city council approve a major modification to an approved site plan for the 0.7-acre property. Board member Benjamin Ayers was absent from the meeting.
Because the increase in square feet is more than 10% of the overall size, it requires a major amendment to a previously approved site plan, Planner Josh Grandlienard said during a study session prior to the meeting.
