Inaugural ASU Artificial Intelligence Day scheduled for Tempe

More than 20 experts in the field of artificial intelligence will be in Tempe on Nov. 17 for the first Artificial Intelligence Day.

The School of Computing and Augmented Intelligence, one of the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University, will be the event's host, according to a release.

“There is so much discovery happening in artificial intelligence and machine learning right now. This is an ideal time to showcase the exciting work we are doing here,” said Associate Professor Paulo Shakarian, who is leading the event featuring more than a dozen sessions on topics including embedded AI and neurosymbolic reasoning.

The event, which begins 9 a.m., will be at the at the Brickyard complex on Mill Avenue, the release stated.
