Inaugural art & wine festival announced for Peoria
things to do
Posted
The first-ever Peoria Art & Wine Festival will bring some of Arizona’s tastiest wines to the Northwest Valley on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 19-20, at Centennial Plaza Park.
The event is presented by Willcox Wine Country in conjunction with Peoria Arts and Culture to benefit Silver Lining Riding, a therapeutic riding nonprofit helping kids.
Slated to become an annual event, this inaugural Peoria Art & Wine Festival will feature many of the state’s finest wineries, pairing great tastes with outstanding art and cool live music. The festival grounds at Centennial Plaza Park will also sport artisan booths and a stage with live music, plus popular food vendors and beer tastings. Among the acts being scheduled for appearances is fun folk-rocker Jeordie, plus a number of top local music groups.
Willcox, located in eastern Arizona, has long been known as one of the state’s richest agricultural areas. Over the last three decades, Willcox has enjoyed an expanding reputation as a premier region for growing high-quality grapes that often lead to award-winning vintages. Several noteworthy vineyards and wineries now call the Willcox area home, and some of the region’s growers also export grapes to wineries in other parts of the state.
More details about the Peoria Art & Wine Festival will be coming soon. Until then, visit WillcoxWineCountry.org and click on the “Signature Events” section for ticket information.
