In support of the current administration

Posted

Reading Mr. Richard’s opinion regarding the present administration, When will enough be enough for Americans?, I have seldom seen more false and misleading statements in print.

Tariffs do a number of good things: 1.) Less reliance on hostile foreign countries for goods critical to our national security. 2.) Significant increase in GDP and tax revenue, thus reducing the burden of the currently bloated federal deficit. 3.) Provide economic opportunity that permits future generations to realize the American dream of home, family and economic security.

NATO allies will now pay their fair share for their defense as well as the common defense.

In November, the president carried every swing state in the country. Americans saw the weakness and insecurity caused by a poorly managed government. Inflation at a 40-year high; open borders with criminals, terrorists and other undesirables crossing by the millions while telling Americans the border was secure.

The migrant crisis has cost over $150 billion that can’t be applied to deficit reduction, the military or services for taxpaying citizens. Also, I believe FEMA money may have been unlawfully diverted and used for migrant benefit and comfort while citizens in the Carolinas got little relief from Hurricane Helene.

It was suggested that ICE and other law enforcement agencies are acting unlawfully by picking up the illegal migrants as well as citizens. I believe certain parties are unlawfully interfering with the legal deportation process.

How anyone can advocate for criminals, some of whom have committed crimes including murder, rape and property crimes, and ignoring the hundreds of thousands of underage children permitted to enter the country without sponsors that have disappeared is beyond my comprehension.

My opinion is that Americans that advocate for criminals have blood on their hands that will never wash away!
