As a 100% disabled Vietnam vet serving in the 1960s, I've seen my share of American flag burning firsthand. Knapp's contention is that it's a First Amendment right to burn the flag. I suggest he reflects on where that has gotten us. While I'm not a particular fan of Trump, he is certainly right about the mayhem that occurs during the exhibition.
The civility among people today is woefully lacking and burning the flag is not only unpatriotic, it's insulting to many of us. Perhaps a reasonable court will find a compelling interest in reviewing that right.
