In preparation for vaccine, Scottsdale helped with supplies

During the weeks leading up to the COVID-19 vaccine arriving in Arizona, the city of Scottsdale purchased supplies to assist HonorHealth and its point of distribution.

At a cost of $21,560, the city of Scottsdale purchased two ultra-low temperature freezers for HonorHealth to use at the Maricopa County Northeast Valley POD. The purchase was a contribution to the process through which city first responders were being vaccinated, said a city spokesman.

Scottsdale’s first responders were among the first to receive the shot in December.
