Peoria Unified School District called a special study session Jan. 13 to provide the school board and families with a health update, but did not change course on having in-person learning regardless of Maricopa County health metrics, the benchmarks for formerly determining instruction delivery.
Superintendent Jason Reynolds said going against the metrics created some confusion, with the hopes the meeting would clear things up.
“We hope to clarify the process and give an update to the board on the operational side and discuss updates to our mitigation efforts as well as seek input from (the board) as we move forward,” he said.
