In anticipation for north Scottsdale growth, Miller Road to be extended

Neighbors fight for sound mitigation as project is planned adjacent to backyards

Scottsdale’s transportation department has a project in the works that will offer northern city residents a new roadway — in addition of Scottsdale and Pima roads — to get to their destination.

The Development Review Board is expected to vote on Thursday, Sept. 1, to approve a street improvement project to complete a four-lane Miller Road connection between Pinnacle Peak and Happy Valley roads. The vote was continued from a July meeting, when DRB members asked several questions about the project that they wanted answers to.
