The Plan & Order Point is new to the Arizona market, offering more convenience and affordability to IKEA customers.
IKEA is set to open a “Plan & Order Point” at The Promenade in Scottsdale, with a planned opening this spring.
Unlike a traditional IKEA store, the Plan & Order Point location allows IKEA customers to meet with IKEA team members to plan and order home furnishings that may require more help — such as kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms.
At this location, customers will be able to explore showrooms, work with IKEA team members on home furnishing solutions and interact with products before making a final purchase. It is also a space for customers located near North Phoenix and Scottsdale to pick up their purchases rather than travel to IKEA in Tempe or pay for home delivery.
“We are finally able to meet customers when and where they want to be met and is convenient for them,” IKEA Customer Experience Manager Kelsei Godwin said. “We know access is a challenge in the Arizona market…so this is just one of the ways we can expand our business and meet our customers where they want to be met.”
At Plan & Order Points, customers can book an appointment or use IKEA’s online planner tools to design their own solutions.
Godwin says the company’s PAX system — a modular storage solution for clothes and accessories — is popular in Arizona, allowing customers to design their own wardrobes that fit any space and style. At the Plan & Order Point, customers can customize their PAX systems with the help of IKEA team members, combining frames, doors and interior organizers to design their own space.
IKEA has been in the Phoenix market for more than 20 years since opening its store in Tempe in 2004. IKEA at The Promenade Scottsdale will be approximately 2,000 square feet of leased retail space, according to a press release.
Offering more convenience and affordability to IKEA customers, Godwin says the Plan & Order Point solution is a perfect fit for the Arizona market,
“We’re very excited about this new experience,” Godwin added. “Other states and markets have opened something similar, but our residents have never seen this so we are looking forward to providing them this kind of service that they may have never experienced before.”
The Plan & Order Point will be located at 16451 N. Scottsdale Road, Suite F107. It will be open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
