MILLEDGEVILLE, GA. - Mrs. Ida Belle Blankenship Monroe, previously from Sun City West passed away on Tues., May 19, 2015. Funeral services will be conducted on Fri., May 29, 2015 at 1 P.M. in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Milledgeville, with interment at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 2:30 P.M. Ida was an avid golfer, bowler and bridge player. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Leo L. Monroe, Milledgeville, Ga.; son, Scott (Cheryl) Monroe of Milledgeville, Ga.; daughter, Elizabeth (Cliff) Reynolds of Fairfax, Va.; grandchildren, Ashley Nam of Fairfax, Va., Rachel Koch of Washington DC, Chelsea and Doug Monroe, both of Milledgeville, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Chase Nam, Sam Koch, and Alexandra McDade. Family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, expessions of sympathy may be made to the Salvation Army.
