Hunkapi Programs celebrates 25 years with Open Your Heart fund raiser gala

Nonprofit Hunkapi Programs is hosting in 25th annual fund raiser event from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Oct. 19. This year’s event is especially important to help pay for rebuilding the stables that are not in safe condition to house the animals, according to a press release.

Hunkapi Programs is holding it’s Open Your Heart Gala fund raising event from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Oct. 19 at it’s farm, located at 12051 N. 96th St. in Scottsdale.
Emmy Award-winning journalist Carey Peña will serve as the evening’s emcee, according to a press release.
With a herd of 31 rescued and retired horses, Hunkapi Programs offers therapeutic experiences to children, adults, and veterans on a historic 10-acre farm. Between 250 and 300 individuals utilize Hunkapi services each week, according to the release.
In addition to a night of inspiration and celebration, the event will feature both a silent and live auction with prizes including a Phoenix Suns Suite donated by APS and a rescue puppy from Puppy Luv Animal Rescue. Attendees will also enjoy a best dressed contest with prizes.
