Fiesta Bowl Charities helps to fuel Arizona STEM expansion

The invention of the wheel is one of the most significant pieces of engineering discovery helping to shape the progress of humanity — and there is no better way to learn this STEM lesson than atop bicycle motocross.

The USA BMX Foundation is spearheading a program geared to educating local youngsters — and at the same time getting them to break a good sweat in the process.

“USA BMX Foundation STEM — science, technology, engineering and math — programming is unique in the fact it is equal part education and exercise where youth use bikes to perform experiments in force, friction, resistance, circumference and velocity,” said USA BMX Executive Director Mike DuVarney.
