Not considering parked horse trailers and toy haulers with living units as recreational vehicles as long as they are not being lived in was discussed recently by the Apache Junction Planning and Zoning Commission.
The city’s zoning ordinance allows the parking of one RV on single family residential zoned property as long as it’s not used as a dwelling unit, Development Services Director Rudy Esquivias said at the board’s Dec. 13 meeting.
“There are some really nice horse trailers that also have a living unit in them, so a lot of folks with horse property have these types of trailers, they don’t use them as extra dwelling units,” he said.
