HonorHealth, a leading healthcare system serving more than five million people in the greater Phoenix and Scottsdale area, announced the rebranding of its cancer care services from HonorHealth Virginia G. Piper Cancer Care Network to HonorHealth Cancer Care.
“We are simplifying the name to focus on what we do exceptionally well and that is cancer care,” said David Price, SVP, ambulatory operations at HonorHealth in a press release announcing the rebrand. “HonorHealth Cancer Care is the most comprehensive network for cancer services across the Valley, and we remain committed to continuing to expand our leading-edge programs.”
In 2001, the Virginia G. Piper Cancer Center opened its doors on the HonorHealth Scottsdale Shea Medical Center campus as the first cancer center in metro Phoenix to offer comprehensive cancer care services under one roof. In 2017, a collaboration with the Arizona Center for Cancer Care led to the formation of the HonorHealth Virginia G. Piper Cancer Care Network. In subsequent years, HonorHealth has put an emphasis on growing its outpatient cancer practice locations to provide patients with access to a diverse group of physicians and high-quality cancer care, according to the press release.
“HonorHealth is proud to provide personalized and coordinated care to patients at every step of their cancer journey,” said Matt Schneider, AVP, HonorHealth Cancer Care. “We offer expertise in nearly all types of adult cancers, and clinical trials are available through the HonorHealth Research Institute to customize care based on every unique patient.”
The rebranding to the new name, HonorHealth Cancer Care, will be complete in 2024.
