Q&A: Nurse practitioner educates women about heart health after cardiac event

Mia Chorney is a nurse practitioner and member of the Women’s Heart Health Group inside HonorHealth Scottsdale Shea Medical Center.

At age 32, Chorney experienced a cardiac event after her shift in the emergency room and went right back into the ER as a patient.

By the time she was 50, Chorney decided to transform her life. She is now also a certified elite trainer, bodybuilding competitive athlete, and medical education speaker with the goal to motivate women to learn about heart health and how to take better care of themselves.
