Homicide investigation underway in Buckeye shootings

A woman has died from injuries suffered Monday night after being shot inside a vehicle in Buckeye, authorities said.

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office reported Tuesday afternoon that the woman died in a hospital and a man, the other victim in the car, remains hospitalized following the shooting, which occurred about 9:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, near Miller Road and Southern Avenue.

There is no suspect information, and the victim’s name will be released later, according to MCSO.
