The Queen Creek Independent honored 12 residents at its fourth annual Hometown Heroes Awards luncheon on Wednesday.
The Queen Creek Hometown Heroes Awards celebrate individuals and businesses for their achievements and distinguished contributions to the community of Queen Creek.
Mary Gloria, founder of the Mary Gloria Foundation — formerly the Pan de Vida Foundation — received the Lifetime Achievement Award for her more than 20 years of philanthropic efforts helping families in need in the Queen Creek/San Tan Valley area.
