Homeless count numbers released for Peoria

City experienced total of 138 homeless individuals Jan. 22

Maricopa Association of Governments released numbers from the 2024 Point-in-Time homeless count, revealing a total of 138 people experienced homelessness on the night of Jan. 22 in Peoria.

This included 82 unsheltered individuals and 56 sheltered individuals.

Last year, the total count was 98 individuals, with 92 unsheltered individuals and six sheltered individuals. Since then, the city has had access to more shelter beds.
