Hobbs lifts moratorium on signing, vetoing bills over stalled budget talks

PHOENIX - Gov. Katie Hobbs says she's ready to start signing measures sent to her by the Republican-controlled Legislature after imposing a moratorium over stalled budget talks.

But that doesn't mean state lawmakers are nearly ready to end the session that began in January and has already slipped past their self-imposed deadline to adjourn. That was Saturday.

The breakthrough of sorts comes as GOP leaders are set to trot out their plans Monday to adopt a new state budget
