Historic site designation not likely for Japanese internment camps in Arizona

In Glendale during the spring of 1942, two Japanese-American families moved from the south side of Grand Avenue just across the street. They stayed with two other Japanese-American families on the north side of Grand Avenue.

Here, they wouldn’t be taken.

If they had remained in their homes a few dozen feet south, they would have been forcibly removed and put into internment camps with thousands of other Japanese-American families.
