OPINION — Yes, it was a blue wave! Not a normal wave, but a tidal wave that swept through many red states.

I celebrated near Central Park in New York City. I embraced Haitians, Colombians, Latinos, gays, trans, Muslims and people from different parts of the world. Hopefully, someday we can all open our arms to every human being.

We are all the same.
