Hillsong College to construct housing at Stapley, University

A planned two- and three-story Stalwart Housing multiple-residence development west of Stapley Drive on the south side of University Drive can receive a development incentive permit, the Mesa Board of Adjustment decided recently.

The site is being developed in partnership with Hillsong College to provide modern housing to its students, according to a project narrative.

“Currently the site is made up of nine separate parcels, two of which are zoned RM-2 and the other seven are zoned RM-4,” Mesa Planner Kellie Rorex said at an April 7 study session for the board. “Multiple-residence developments are permitted in both of these zoning districts and the applicants will not be rezoning the site, but they will combine the nine parcels into one and maintain that split zoning.”
