The Higley Unified School District Governing Board approved the replacement of 156 aging security cameras at district schools at a cost of more than a half-million dollars.
The move is one of the district’s safety and security measures, which district officials reviewed for the governing board at its Aug. 23 business meeting.
The old cameras from Avigilon are low resolution, require network video recorder equipment and are at the end of their useful life, Student Services Director James Walker said.
