A high speed chase that began in Wickenburg ended with a crash in Sun City and later the arrest of a homicide suspect.
Sir Amir Williamson, 17, was arrested after he turned himself in Friday morning, April 21 following the chase and its abrupt end in Sun City. Williamson became a suspect in the April 18 murder of Elijah Johnson, 18, Williamson’s cousin, according to police reports. Johnson was killed at a Budget Lodge after the cousins had been in an argument, according to police reports.
Police also arrested Williamson’s mother, Tanyelle Williams, 45, on charges of hindering prosecution because she tried to hide her son from police.
