Here’s the Phoenix forecast for Memorial Day weekend

Expect hot and clear conditions this weekend, possibly above-average totals this monsoon season, which starts in June

Expect Valley temperatures to push triple-digits as residents pay tribute over Memorial Day weekend to U.S. military personnel who died while serving in the Armed Forces.

The National Weather Service-Phoenix on Thursday forecasts highs of 98 degrees on Saturday, 100 on Sunday, and 97 on Monday. While the Valley figures to be sunny and clear this weekend, eastern Arizona should see chances for rain and even isolated thunderstorms in the high terrain over Memorial Day weekend.

Valleywide cities and cemeteries will be hosting ceremonies, including the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. Located at 2929 E. Pinnacle Peak Road, in north Phoenix, the site will host a ceremony at 8 a.m. Monday that will include wreath presentations, a military honor color guard, the playing of “Taps,” and keynote speakers.
