Henry James (Hank) Dimond, died peacefully on May 17, 2018 with the love of his life, Dorothy at his side.Born June 14, 1926. Born to Harry and Rose Dimond in Oak Creek, WI.Lived most of his life in South Milwaukee and the last 15 years in Sun City West, AZ.Hank is survived by his wife & best friend of nearly 67 years, Dorothy (nee Broskowski); his PRINCESSES: Lori Dimond Carpenter (Kenneth) of Phoenix, Gayle Dimond Manore (David) of Pepin, WI. His much loved grandsons that were ALL his favorite: David Henry Thomas of Wind Lake, WI (Marla Van Blaricom), Travis Dimond Manore of St. Louis Park, MN, Kevan Patrick Thomas of Natchitoches, LA (Stephanie), Brook James Manore of Denver, CO; a loving sister-in-law, Betty Polasek (AZ); and one adored great-granddaughter, Adeline Rose Thomas that made him "Grandpa GREAT."Hank is remembered by all (especially his "boys") as an esteemed purveyor of tall tales. Hank was a long-time member of So Milwaukee Lions Club for which he did countless hours in service to the community and a proud recipient of the Melvin Jones Fellow award. A proud veteran of the US Army in World War II in the Pacific Theater.Hank's life was a building contractor, but in a long retirement, he built his "backyard" railroad to the joy of neighbors, friends and family.
