Individuals have an easier way to see if they are prone to diabetes with an at-home test through a Valley lab.
Sonora Quest Hemoglobin A1c home test collection kits are available for Sun Cities residents to order for home delivery. Testing kits are mailed directly to patients and returned in a prepaid envelope.
“Hemoglobin A1c home test collection enables patients to track sugar levels past two to three months. Patients use a small needle to prick their finger and collect a drop of blood. The test requires an 8-12 hour fast and can help diagnose diabetes,” Dr. Regina VanBuren, Sonora Quest said.
