SUN CITY - Helen T. Lucas passed away surrounded by her daughters on Sept. 24, 2012. She was the beloved spouse of Dr. Alphonse Lucas (deceased), loving mother to Eric J. Lucas (deceased), Beth Toohey, Pam Alexander, Nancy Gallagher and proud grandmother to Rob Alexander, Kerri Toohey, Michele Toohey, Ryan Alexander and great grandmother to Emily Toohey. She proudly served her country during WWII in the European Theater as a Nurse in the U.S. Army where she met her husband. Helen had been active in the community volunteering with Meals on Wheels, Boswell Hospital and the Sun City Library. A celebration of life was held by the family at her home, 14403 N. McPhee Dr., Sun City, Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012 at 2 p.m. Interment was in Pittsford, N.Y. Sunland Mortuary was entrusted with Mrs. Lucas' care.
