SUN CITY - Helen Mary Spellmeyer passed away Oct. 11, 2016 in Peoria. She was born on Dec. 2, 1919 in Ashton, Ill., the daughter of Harvey and Ada Cline. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her beloved sister, Ethel; and brother-in-law, Bud. Her survivors include her daughter, Judy (Greg); grandsons, Scott and Kirk (Marie); and three great-grandchildren, Anna, Travis and Chase, who were the apple of her eye; sister, Fern; and several nieces and nephews. She loved to travel, play golf and have parties. Always one to lend a helping hand to anyone. She was a bright light in our lives. We miss you very much and love you even more. Memorial services will be held at Willowbrook Methodist Church, Sun City, Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 11:00 a.m. Internment will be at Chapel Hill Cemetery, Dixon, Ill. Donations can be made at the Aplastic Anemia and MDS Foundation at www.aamds.org of your choice.
