Helen M. Kasha
Posted
SUN CITY WEST - Helen M. Kasha passed away of natural causes early on Wednesday, December 10, 2014, with her sons by her side. Helen's greatest joy was her boys, Drs. Edwin (Rebecca) and James Kasha. She was very proud that they pursued medical careers, influenced at an early age, by her work as a registered nurse. Helen loved to travel and socialize with her family and friends, always eager to "just go". Kind heartedness and willingness to help others was second nature for Helen. She belonged to several clubs and had a large variety of interests which included cruises, casinos, and sight seeing trips here and abroad. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Sally Lawrence; brother, Chester Lawrence; and husband Edwin Kasha, Sr. founder of KI Plastics. Helen is survived by sister. Barbara (Jack) Pivirotto; and brother Dr. Tom (Jean) Lawrence. Helen was fortunate to live near Barb and Jack who gladly expanded her interests in hockey, games of chance, cards, and bocce. Helen is also survived by grandchildren. Andrew and Lauren Kasha; in addition to many adoring nieces, nephews, and friends. In lieu of flowers the family request gifts be made in Helen's name to Bosom Buddies of Phoenix, helping deal with the challenges of breast cancer. Visitation will be December 13, 10-12, service and lunch to follow at Camino del Sol in Sun City West. Her sons would like to acknowledge their unending love and gratitude to their mother for her constant source of love and strength. We love you Mom.
