Heat warning remains through Tuesday in Maricopa County

Maricopa County will remain under an excessive heat warn for another day.

The National Weather Service extended the warning through Oct. 8 as temperatures could reach a potentially life-threatening 110 degrees, forecasters said.

Electric fans may provide some relief, NWS officials said, but a few hours of air conditioning can lower the risk of heat-related illness.
