Health officials confirm 3 new measles cases in Mesa

The Maricopa County Department of Public Health has confirmed three new measles cases, bringing the total number of confirmed measles cases for 2026 to 13.

The cases are connected “but have no travel or known source of exposure, indicating they were likely infected within Maricopa County,” a MCDPH release stated.

“This highlights the ongoing risk of local transmission during this outbrea, and the importance of vaccination and early symptom recognition.”
