A Goodyear woman was killed in a two-vehicle, head-on collision on State Route 74 ended in a fatality Oct. 23.
Crystal Tena, 43, was killed when the 2023 Ford Bronco she was driving collided head on with a Dodge Ram truck about 11:57 a.m.
Peoria Police and Peoria Fire-Medical responded to a traffic accident on State Route 74 between 87th Avenue and New River Road at 11:57 a.m. The collision involved two vehicles: a gray 2024 Dodge Ram and a gray 2023 Ford Bronco.

A Goodyear woman was killed in a two-vehicle, head-on collision on State Route 74 ended in a fatality Oct. 23.

Peoria Police and Peoria Fire-Medical responded to a traffic accident on State Route 74 between 87th Avenue and New River Road at 11:57 a.m. The collision involved two vehicles: a gray 2024 Dodge Ram and a gray 2023 Ford Bronco.
Preliminary investigation shows the driver of the Dodge was traveling eastbound, intending to pass on the left of slower vehicles traveling ahead of them. The driver of the Ford was traveling westbound on State Route 74 when both vehicles collided head on.
The driver of the Dodge was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. Tena was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Peoria Police Department’s Traffic Services Unit is investigating this incident. Impairment has been ruled out as a possible factor in this case. State Route 74 was closed for several hours during this investigation and reopened at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 23.
