Hazel Eaton Barber

Hazel Eaton Barber, 88Hazel Eaton Barber, 88, Sun City, died Nov. 26, 2006. She was a retired middle school teacher from Washington state.{Bernice Schlichting Doyle,} 92, Sun City, died Nov. 14, 2006. She was born Bernice Clara Schlichting, Dec. 10, 1913, to Frank H. and Clara B. Schlichting of Port Hope, Mich. Bernice attended Michigan State University, and subsequently became an R.N. She married Oren E. Doyle on Dec. 28, 1939. They moved to Sun City in 1978, where they enjoyed more than a quarter-century of active retirement until Oren"s death in 2004. Bernice is survived by her children, Glenn Doyle (Mona Cassell), of Empire, Mich., Allan Doyle of Seattle, Wash., Mary Doyle and Kathy Doyle of Phoenix, and by five grandchildren. Bernice"s personal motto was "One day at a time, and do the best you can." Her family wants to make special mention of the staff of the Woodmark at Sun City, Odyssey Health Care Hospice and Sun City Caregivers for helping to make Bernice"s last months and days both peaceful and joyful. We will always remember you with gratitude.
