Happy Valley Road head-on crash leaves man dead, woman in critical condition

A 33-year-old man died Monday following a head-on collision near 35^th Avenue and Happy Valley Road that also sent a woman to a hospital in critical condition, police said.

The collision occurred about 12:30 p.m. Sept. 8, and preliminary information indicates Arthur Cody Lomeli was traveling east in the westbound lanes on West Happy Valley Road when he collided with another vehicle.

Lomeli was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Lomeli was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

An investigation is continuing.
