I am increasingly made aware of fact being stranger than fiction when you have a letter writer cite an episode from “The Twilight Zone” TV show about cannibalistic aliens seeking to befriend humans as an example of how we can be mistaken and deceived about COVID-19 prevention and treatment methods put forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Dr. Anthony Fauci.

The letter writer (“Worldwide deception of benevolence,” Sun City West Independent, Dec. 8, 2021) cites Donald Trump’s use of hydroxychloroquine and a doctor’s reportedly successful treatment of 7,000 persons using that drug. Trump was treated with the best medicine available after he contracted COVID-19 despite the fact that he advocated the public try Lysol, Clorox and other dangerous substances.

This is a good example of how untrustworthy, self-serving, narcissistic, phony, corrupt and doofus-like Trump really is. How could any good thinking person put their trust in such a man? Those who think Trump is a good businessman only have to be made aware of Trump Airlines, Trump Magazine, Trump University, Trump Casino, Trump Hotel in Washington, D.C., Trump steaks, Trump vodka, Trump ice, the New Jersey Generals football team. All were failures as well as numerous bankruptcies from which the losses enabled him to significantly reduce his federal and state taxes.

Current COVID-19 and variant viruses have been rigorously studied for many years by the CDC and drug companies enabling them to fairly quickly develop successful treatments that bear out reliable results that save millions of lives and needless suffering. Hydroxychloroquine is not one of these successful treatments if you believe in science rather than hearsay and/or conspiracy theories.
