Gus Muldner, 82Sun City resident Gus Herman Muldner died March 6, 2008.Mr. Muldner was born Nov. 26, 1925 in Peoria, Ariz., Carl and Clara (Herman) Muldner. He was a lifelong Arizona pioneer native and a U.S. Navy veteran, serving on the USS Enterprise 1943-1945. He married Julia Brannon June 30, 1945 and they owned and operated Muldner Livestock Transport Co. in Glendale for 53 years.He was a member of the Order of Eastern Star No. 59, Peoria Lodge No. 31; The American Legion No. 0029; 50-year member Shriners of North America; a 32nd degree Mason; 50-year member Grand Lodge of Arizona F & AM; Peoria Historical #186; 50-year-plus member Scottish Rite of Freemasonry; lifetime member USS Enterprise Association; 50-year member and vice-president of the Arizona National Livestock Show; and member of the AOPA.He is survived by his wife of more than 62 years; his mother, Clara Muldner; two sisters, Marie Johnson and Mary Lou Squires; a brother, Tommy Muldner; and many nieces and nephews.Mr. Muldner was preceded in death by his son, Gus H. Muldner, Jr.
