Gun threat prompts lockdown at Queen Creek Junior High

The Queen Creek Police Department reports it has so far been unable to find any evidence that a threat involving a gun near Queen Creek Junior High on Monday morning was credible.

At about 10 a.m., QCPD responded to a reported incident involving a student who stated that an individual threatened him with a gun near the school. Queen Creek Junior High was subsequently placed on lockdown while police investigated.

By 11:53 a.m., the lockdown was lifted as “QCPD has been unable to find any evidence that a crime occurred or a credible threat,” the department stated on its Facebook page.
