The preliminary design for a 19-acre Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. maintenance, repair and operations hangar at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport recently was discussed by the Mesa Design Review Board.
It is on airport property south of the future alignment of Williams Field Road and west of South Ellsworth Road, Staff Planner Josh Grandlienard said during the board’s Dec. 14 meeting.
“It is partially on the air side and land side so all of the plantings occur only on the land side vs the air side as per the requirements for both the [Federal Aviation Administration] and the Mesa Gateway Airport,” he said of landscaping.
