Guinevere Ann Krupp

Guinevere (Gwen) Ann Krupp, died July 12, 2017 in Surprise, AZ.She was born July 6, 1930 in Grand Rapids, MI to Anna Rippe and Herbert Dorn.Bachelor of Music with piano and organ concentrations from The University of Michigan in 1952.Married Norman Chris Krupp in July 12, 1953.Started playing the pump organ for church when she was about 10 years old. She taught piano and organ, was church organist at several churches and choir director for many years, Played for weddings and funerals, sang in many choirs, was activity director at nursing homes, taught English as a Second Language, taught 1st and 2nd grades and volunteered for many organizations. Participated in SAI, PEO, University of Michigan Alumni Association, foreign exchange programs and others.Gwen made gingerbread houses to carry on the German tradition from her father's family.Gwen and Norm visited Germany to celebrate Bach's 300th birthday where she played organs Bach played. She celebrated Bach's birthday yearly with a concert. She traveled to many countries and saw the Passion Play in Germany, which is only performed once every 10 years.Awards: Citizen of the Year in Royal Oak, MI, Soroptimist Woman of the Year, Who's Who in American Women, SAI 60 year (in 2010) member award.Surviving children: Sharon (Leo) Gabriel, Nathan (Cindy) Krupp, Rachael (Larry) Ott.Suviving grandchildren: Nathan and Timothy Gabriel; Kelsey, Kara and Kyle KruppSiblings: Gretchen Weaver (Vern, deceased), Monica Jennings (Edward), both deceased, Herbert Dorn (Jenny), Rosalind Proos (Tom), Miriam Reddel (Eugene) A memorial service will be at Crown of Life Lutheran Church, 13131 W. Spanish Garden Dr., Sun City West, AZ on July 21st at 10:30 am. Contributions can be given to the music funds at Crown of Life or Lord of Life (13724 W. Meeker Blvd., Sun City West, AZ 85375) churches.
