GuacStar Kitchen and Cantina is now open as a part of the plant-based eating movement embodied with Mexican flare in Tempe.
And, owner James Carlin opens the doors hoping to bring a club atmosphere with him.
“I’m a big bar guy. I love music, and really none of the places in Arizona were like that. There aren’t many restaurants who had a big bar component to it either,” he said. “I started thinking about bringing this type of dining into the mainstream. This isn’t your typical plant-based restaurant.”
