Groundwater headlines may scare off developers looking to Arizona

During the past six months, the Phoenix area has been making plenty of headlines regarding its water crisis.

Those concerns are spilling over into the business world, as companies that may have been looking to relocate or place new facilities in the region may be having second thoughts as water becomes a hotter topic.

A new groundwater update from the Arizona Department of Water Resources that said certain aquifers couldn’t guarantee 100 years of assured water supply and that residential construction would be barred until developers could find a solution drew plenty of attention.
