Gretchen Mary Novak

Gretchen Mary Novak, of Sun City West (and Woodbury, MN), died from complications of cancer at the age of 74 on March 4, 2018 at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, AZ.Preceded in death by parents Ben and Bertha Patka. Survived by husband Charles Novak, sons Chris (Amy) and Paul (Marisa), brothers Jim (Nancy) Patka and Tom Patka, and nine grandchildren.Gretchen loved reading, playing golf, beading, Mahjong, live theatre, her friends, and watching her sons and grandchildren play. She was a great wife, mother, friend, communicator, organizer, and leader who was intelligent, outgoing, helpful, and inspirational.A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. on March 24th at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Oakdale, MN. Visitation is at 9:00 A.M. and a reception will follow the funeral.
