The Greater Phoenix Chamber’s Valley Young Professionals, a group for up-and-coming Valley professionals, announced new leadership, events, and a nonprofit partnership for FY24.
Heading into the new fiscal year, Valley Young Professionals’ nonprofit partner for the year is UMOM New Day Centers. The agency provides shelter, services and affordable housing for single women and families experiencing homelessness in Metro Phoenix.
Stella O’Rourke, Arizona Coyotes director of philanthropy and special events, will serve as the 2023-2024 chair. Brittany Dugan, Intel global cloud programs manager, is vice chair.
The organization’s next event will be a behind-the-scene tour of FABRIC, a nonprofit self-described "phygital" fashion incubator, business accelerator, design studio, academy, and micro-factory for the modern apparel entrepreneur.
The tour takes place at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18 at FABRIC, 117 E. 5th St., Suite 101, in Tempe.
The Valley Young Professionals Board of Directors is comprised of business leaders between the ages of 25 and 39 who are passionate about community involvement and actively overseeing a program that helps retain and attract young professionals to the region.
“Facilitating the success of young professionals is vital to the future of our economy,” Todd Sanders, Greater Phoenix Chamber president and CEO, shared in a press release.
