Great Skate rolls for 40 years in Glendale community

For 40 years, Great Skate has remained a setting for families and friends to make fond memories in the Glendale and greater Phoenix area.

Dedicated staff at Great Skate, 10054 N. 43rd Ave., Glendale, welcomed the community to celebrate the rink’s 40th anniversary in late July. Skating through the decades, patrons enjoyed the top hits from the past 40 years, birthday cake, posing and dancing with the mascot, Skato.

“It gives us so much joy to be a safe space for our community to come out and have fun with family and friends. Each and every day we experience our guests creating life-long memories, but the most rewarding is when we see skating getting passed on generation to generation. It has been an honor to be able to provide STEM field trips to our local schools, fundraisers for our local organizations and of course the best birthday parties,” said Cheryl Thomas, general manager of marketing/sales, for the Glendale staple.
