OPINION — My SCHOA newsletter arrived today. After reading about anonymous complaints they have received regarding the noise of the jets at Luke Air Force Base, I would like to express my gratitude.
My gratitude is for the brave men and women flying the “noisy” jets in training missions to keep each and every American safe. I’m grateful the article prompted me to learn more about the history of Luke AFB.
I was born and raised in Phoenix and Luke was always part of the landscape, but I knew little about its history. Today, I wonder if Sun City would be here if not for Luke.
