Grant will help Queen Creek Police fight human trafficking

A $463,339 state grant will be used by the Queen Creek Police Department to fund an additional detective to combat human trafficking.

The grant was awarded to the QCPD by the Arizona Department of Emergency and Military Affairs. During its April 19 meeting, the Queen Creek Town Council voted to approve accepting the grant money. The item was part of the council’s consent agenda.
