Grant sought to benefit moral(e) of Pinal County sheriff’s employees

Gold Canyon resident notes misspelling in agenda item

A Gold Canyon resident recently questioned a missing letter “e” in an agenda item before the Pinal County Board of Supervisors relating to a $50,000 grant to be used by the sheriff’s office.

The item stating it would benefit PCSO and the “moral, welfare and recognition program” didn’t sit well with Roberto Reveles.

“I simply want to stress the importance of words. In this particular agenda item I believe the intended word is not ‘moral’ but the ‘morale.’ To say ‘moral’ opens up another can of worms,” he said at the March 15 board of supervisors meeting. “So I ask that the word be correctly shown as ‘morale.’”
